How to Drill Resin Figures Without Cracking Them

Small holes in resin are a control job. The aim is a clean opening for a pin or magnet, not speed. A manual pin vise, shallow pilot hole and light pressure make a dependable start.

Remerlinds figure kits arrive unpainted, washed and fully cured. Read the assembly plan and dry fit before drilling any part.

Use a manual pin vise first

Turn the tool gently, withdraw regularly to clear dust, and do not force the bit through thin detail.

Mark and pilot

Mark the point, support the back of a delicate part, then create a small pilot hole before increasing the size.

Increase gradually and dry fit

Move up a size only when the pilot is straight. Test the pin or magnet without adhesive before committing to glue.
